The Fashion Diaries: Feeling Extra.

As the Summer days come and go, I can often find myself feeling distinctly more confident on some days than others. Whether this be because of how I'm feeling about my skin on that day, my size, or whether my hair is looking frizzier than usual: we all have them. Despite this, along with the bad days, come the good days, and my confidence is through the roof. You can usual tell this buy looking at what outfit I'm wearing, and on this day; as you can probably tell; I was feeling myself. So with this in mind, I wanted to showcase myself in the best possible light, and demonstrate to you lovely lot the kinds of outfits that make me feel amazing within myself, inside and out!

I love the feeling of being confident enough to look into my wardrobe, and have a rummage through as to what I can wear for the day. On this day I was seeing my sister for coffee, so I could get away with wearing something quite out there!

I began with choosing the jeans, which are these stunning Anita&Green jeans I picked up a few months ago from New Look. These types of jeans are all of the rage at the minute, with majority being very basic up until the hem at the bottom. Whether they are frayed or have a cut out detail, adding that extra bit of detail to your basic skinny jeans will make your outfit look completely on trend! Here are a similar pair I found from New Look, who you can always trust to provide you with sturdy, long lasting jeans.

And then, some may call this the piece de resistance; I got a C in GCSE French, can you tell? The jacket. Holy Lord: the jacket.

In regards to my personal style at the minute, I have been worryingly drawn to pieces that are so close to the border of being wrong, that somehow they're right. Obviously if I try something on and it looks awful, I'm not going to buy it, however these pieces just seem to look great but are in some cases just slightly awful. Think of my pom pom shoes I featured in my last post, like them...

So this jacket I managed to find in the TopShop sale in the Trafford Center in Manchester. I'm like a magpie, sparkles just seem to catch my eye and I cannot seem to withdraw myself from them. Then the denim caught my eye, and my inner wanna-be indie kid came out and long story short I tried it on and couldn't say no.

This beautiful light wash denim jacket has so many details in it, you would't believe; the obvious one being the sequins. On this jacket, sequins cover the sleeves from the cuff to the arm pit, and cover the top quarter of the back as well. The sequins are in this absolutely stunning pink and purple toned colours which compliment the light wash blue so perfectly. As well as this, covering random areas of the jacket are rips and distressed areas, just in case the sequins weren't enough.

My sister's exact words in response to this jacket were, "When you show this to people, you can't expect them to say it's nice."... I mean, I f***ing love it so I don't really care what anyone else has to say about it. But as you can probably tell, I have to be feeling a certain level of self confidence in order to fully work it. But when I do work it, it gets a lot of compliments!

The finishing touches of the outfit include a plain black, velvet choker to cover the more bare parts of my skin from the low cut of the top, and my go-to blue platform shoes I've had for forever. I also picked up these sunglasses from Primark the other day which I absolutely love! I haven't had a new pair in a while and with the weather picking up, I thought why not!

And that completes this look! I really hope you enjoyed reading this post, and that I didn't put you off by how unhealthily obsessed I am with this jacket! Make sure to leave a comment if you want me to write any specific posts in the future, but until then I shall write again soon.

Lot's of love,

Amy xoxo
